Not sure why the OP and SD staff chose to add the grinding description. Even the Amazon info has no mention of grinding for either one.

Thanks OP. Got some for my ryobi 3" cutter. Wonder if they make 3" grinding wheels an if I can even use the ryobi as a grinder

Kind of. It will cut really well as the grit loads up with aluminum, then stop cutting. So you can get maybe 15% of the life you should and ruin it, but it will work. They do make cut off wheels specially made for soft metals that would work better.
