They would have sold a ton of these if they had just put them on sale sooner.

You realize that it doesn't matter how many watts the power supply can deliver, it only uses what is necessary. As in, a PC will only use let's say 450 watts regardless of whether there is a 500 watt or a 1,000 watt power supply in it.

I have this model with intel. Why not only 500w. Costs less to run, less ambient heat, easier to cool. What's the downside unless you want to get a 5080 later on

Comes down to your needs really. 4060 vs a 4070 and an AMD-equivalent i5 vs i5 processor are the main differences besides storage and RAM.

Longevity will be further with the Lenovo build in terms of gaming support.

Is the GPU usually beneficial in case you don't play much games .

A deal site offers 10% cashback + 5% cashback from Chase card for PayPal payment to drop the price to $1028. The deal site offer may end soon. I'm tempted, but want a 7800X3D, so I'll sit this one out.

If you don't games or at least games that are graphic intense, I'd go with the Costco deal for $899.

However, even cheaper desktops out there if you don't game at all.

I ran a i5 6 gen and Nvidia GTX 1060 for years because most games I played on PC were strategy games or older games that didn't need the graphic power.

It normally offers to new users registered in the midnight through morning, and it's not "10%". Don't get misled. The new user additional "10%" caps at $50.

500w is the maximum power it's able to supply, it doesn't mean it's constantly using 500w, so no, it doesn't "cost less to run", a lower wattage power supply just gives you less room for upgrades in the future.

It's not. People are just being dumb in here about the PSU.

RTX 4070 only draws 200 Watts max. Ryzen 7700 draws 65 Watts max. 265W max for CPU and GPU, so there's a 235W overhead. 500W PSU is perfectly fine for this PC, as you won't be overclocking it.
