I bought one, used it once, and immediately returned it. I have never a worse experience with a tool in my life. Like you I own nearly every tool in the Dewalt 20V lineup but absolutely hated this thing.

Anyone with experience with this? I have SOOOOO much of the Dewalt 20v lineup already. I don't really NEED this, but if it's a great mower, then maybeeeeeee......
I have this package - didn't get a deal like this though.

The FlexVolt batteries don't seem to overheat like the regular 20v ones do with this mower in my experience - but my anecdotal experience doesn't mean others will see the same. I honestly love the mower - beats the doors off the Ryobi I previously used.

This is such a ridiculously good deal I would instantly buy a second mower if it was available near me.

I love this mower. I've got a small 1/8 acre lawn and it has no problem cutting the front and back on one set of 12ah batteries. I even take them out and use them with the trimmer, and then leaf blower and they still have juice.
Some notes-if you do not cut your lawn regularly, you're not going to like this mower. It doesn't like taking off more than about an inch. This of course will vary for you, as grasses are different thicknesses. That's my experience.
Thr self-propel function died on one of mine. I complained on a public forum and a Dewalt rep reached out and sent me a brand new one for free, batteries and all. I am tainted by this experience, obviously. Wouldn't you be, too?!
I installed a larger (heavier) mulching blade for leaves and it did pretty well. However, large piles of leaves, it did struggle with. This is not a mower for people who neglect their lawn and then go out and mow once a month. I'm just being honest. Other than that, it bags fine, mulches fine, cuts fine, and this if the first time I've ever heard of battery problems. I guess it's because I didn't go looking, as I've never had a battery problem due to this mower. I've always used flex volt batteries in it, FWIW.
What a deal here!

Buy it. Sell the mower for $100-200 before you leave and keep the batteries (or sell them and make a profit).

Lawn mower works okay. But, my biggest complaint... The blade always spins. You can't self-propell "drive" it without the blade being engaged.

What's the point of an electric mower with no batteries? Did you sell that to?
No, I already have a bunch of 20v and 60v batteries and did not need more.

Anyone looking in the buffalo area, don't waste your time at the Clarence store. The ones they have are wrapped and marked for return for missing batteries and/or parts. Just left there, 640am 12-26

Just grabbed two from the Walker /Grand Rapids store on Alpine. One person told me they were out of stock, but I eventually found them up high. Checked out at the clearance price.

Got the last one from Pasadena store. Batteries were missing but manager just gave me 2 that are sold individually. Brickseek shows one more but that's not correct

If anyone is checking out Martinez, CA with their brickseek of 2. I got there this morning at opening and 0/2.

Per customer service, shows in stock of 2 because someone last week bought the 2 and returned them. However, they stole the batteries and replaced them with rocks in the battery compartment. The store is returning them to Dewalt. This is triggering their inventory.

Save a trip!
