While this is the cheapest a 4060ti 16gb has been (even before affirm), it still isn't a good deal. The 4060ti is only slightly faster (5%) on average than the 3060ti at 1440p. The 4060ti 16gb is basically a glorified 3060ti with better power efficiency, 16gb of vram, and dlss3 frame generation (which is highly situational at this performance tier, and essentially useless whenever latency is important). Having 16gb of vram is a huge benefit, however with such low compute performance it's still stuck as a 1080p card and is absurdly overpriced. Considering how awful the gpu market currently is, $382.49 straight up without afffirm pay would be a (grudgingly) acceptable price for someone who is dead set on purchasing a current gen nvidia gpu, but when you factor in affirm pay it's just pointless.

From everything I see online I am not sure if you are looking at the wrong info. I don't care for the card eitherway but. I am seeing that it blows it out of the water. Only when you compare 8GB vs 8GB do I see it equal or beat games. Which I would agree is bad, but in any other comparisons I see it winning by quite a bit overall when it's a 3060 ti vs 4060 ti 16GB

The 5% I stated was a like for like comparison of the 4060ti 8gb to the 3060ti where both have the same 8gb of vram, therefore showing the actual relative compute performance. The 4060ti 16gb is identical in every way to the 8gb version except for vram capacity. So long as the game you're playing doesn't benefit from more than 8gb of vram, the 4060ti 16gb will be on average approximately 5% faster than the 3060ti at 1440p. Hence my description of the 4060ti 16gb as a glorified 3060ti with 16gb of vram, if the 3060ti had 16gb of vram the performance gap would remain the exact same. The video example you gave is extremely heavily biased towards the latest games notorious for poor optimization and heavy vram usage, with about a third of them being games specifically lambasted for having massive performance issues with 8gb of vram.
Here's hardware unboxed comparing the 4060ti 8gb to the 3060ti in 40 games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuGxu7jxsKc

Yeah, I saw both of those too. That is why I had to also defend your statement. It's just I still would say this isn't a "Bad deal". I'm just personally in the boat for waiting for the 5000 series myself and would generally recommend people do that if this isn't going to work. I don't hate the AMD GPU's either, it's just generally Nvidia keeps up with them too well but some games AMD blows Nvidia out of the water, unfortunately those aren't the games I play.

If someone was going to bother using affirm pay on newegg for a gpu, they'd be better off waiting for something like this previous deal of $424.99 for a 7800xt, which offers an inordinately better value: https://slickdeals.net/f/17143000-sapphire-radeon-rx-7800-xt-16gb-gddr6-424-99-tax
