I bought these last time they were advertised.. they are horrible quality! Still have 4 left, put one on in a hallway, and took it off right away.. it doesn't sit flush with the wall, and it gives very little light. They also feel like extremely poor quality.. like you could snap them with one hand. I might wind up opting for some better quality ones I was looking at on amazon, which cost a lot more. I think the idea is great, if.. 1 better LEDs were used, and 2, better quality plate. They flawlessly connect to whatever it is in there.. something metal. I have a home that was built in the early 90's with no upgrades or reno done to the electrical.. so that should give you an idea, that these were made to work universally.. but buy at your own risk.. personally.. can't recommend.

I bought these...
Installation wasn't great; the contacts on the plate didn't line up on most of my outlets
Overall the design and build quality gave me a fire hazard concern
I swapped them out for a single recepticle design from Home Depot
No motion sensor, but there is On/Off/Auto switch with a dusk-to-dawn sensor

Yup, I'm aware, but if you wanted this on the first outlet in the line (the GFCI one), then it won't work.

I've had them installed for about a year now and seem to work fine. They do not work for GFCI outlets.

you don't actually need GFCI on all outlet. only one (the first one) GFCI in that strain of circuit is sufficient if you wire it correctly

What color temperature are the lights? Last thing i want is for my home to look like a airstrip runway at night.

I put a similar product (from snap power) on a hallway outlet a few years ago. Overall it works quite well, but the one I have is much brighter at night than I would prefer. Wonder if these are a better fit. The single unit was $20 so 5 at $16 is definitely attractive.

That would make them a lot more complicated and give them multiple points of failure.

The cheapest covers that have this look like they're $40 each.

Adding motion sensor smart switches and smart outlets costs around that much, so you might as well throw those in.

What makes these light up? A battery or some kind of induction.
Are they thick? Ty

Edit. I see now. Used the stack social link
