This has a DisplayPort, can be used as a USB hub, and I think the stand is more versatile than what you'd get with the C3. The C3 does not have a DP and while it has USB inputs, I don't think I can be used as a USB hub.

The c3 has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and this only has 2, with the other two being HDMI 2.0.

Also, the screen on this is more of a matte finish, which is common for monitors. The screen on the C3 is has a glossy finish.

I think they are both excellent for high quality gaming. I think it comes down to preference and what your use cases are going to be.

I had the 48" version of this monitor and with the latest firmware installed, this is an excellent monitor. Comes with decent sounding speakers, DisplayPort 1.4, excellent text clarity, and truly remarkable picture quality for movies and games. I truly was sad to sell this monitor because we needed to create some space and didn't need this monitor, especially because I got the monitor used in like new condition for $650.

The 42" is probably a lot more manageable in terms of overall size. And I definitely will vouch for the quality. There are not very many 16:9 OLED options in this size to begin with I would think. I am sure the LG OLED are amazing (I own a 65" LG OLED TV from 2021 and it is remarkable) so buy whatever you can afford.

That's what I said. The C3 has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. This monitor only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports of its four HDMI inputs.

How would this compare to LG c3 42in? primarily for PS5 and PC monitor maybe some TV can always add Chromecast

what are you talking about the c3 hdmi ports are all 2.1 ever since the C9 lg oled tvs had all 4 hdmi 2.1 ports. Sony and Samsung still do the 2 hdmi 2.1 and 2 hdmi 2.0

How many devices you're gonna connect which solely relies on HDMI 2.1? For Consoles, yes but most people have one Console. For PC, You can use the display port.

Then why 2 HDMI 2.1 is a limiting fator. For PC, you can very well use a DP output and use the monitor's DisplayPort 1.4 port and still have another HDMI 2.1 port free.

That's exactly what the poster said. It could have just been written a tiny bit better.

The LG C3 has 4 x Hdmi 2.1 ports, whereas "this" (Asus) has 2.0 ports.

I was debating between these two also, ended up ordering the C3 from Costco, $50 cheaper, comes with 5 years of warranty and I preferred the look of the glossy screen over matte.

The C3 has AI processing chip which is great when you watch movie. Watching on browser always get compressed qhile using LG TV native apps it's always crispy. I use the C3 48 as PC monitor
