I have these headphones and love them, but I paid nowhere near this much last year (even if only refurbished). I don't know what happened to Amazon pricing for these headphones over the past 8 months, but this used to be the regular price for new.

I strongly discourage anyone from buying them at this price: It's the same product they've sold for years. They aren't spending on its R&D anymore. They can keep churning them out at their Chinese factories for just as cheap. No reason to inflate the price so significantly.
