The 150W is also on sale for $79.99, but it ships from Woot and is a heavier brick.

I thought GaN meant Gallium Nitride? What's GaNPrime?

It appears to be Anker's name for their newest generation of gallium nitride chargers. Their previous GaN gen was Nano II.

I found this charger to be the sweet spot for me as a frequent traveler: relatively small/light and able to fast charge my iPhone (or laptop), watch, and another misc item. Bought it back in Nov/E and I've already used it twice and was pleased with the results. Don't need another one otherwise I'd be in for this price.

$59-$60 is the standard sale price that comes every couple of months.

In terms of value, for many people this doesn't offer any benefit over the 100W Anker 736 that goes on sale for $40 (I got one last week for $38). Size and weight-wise, they are very similar. The 736 can handle a typical laptop plus 1-2 phones simultaneously. This one can handle more power-hungry laptops and devices, or multiple laptops.

Honestly, getting two 65W Nano IIs might be the best way to spend $60. That one is super-compact and versatile. It can charge your phone or you can use it to charge your laptop while using the laptop to charge the phone, and if you need to charge two laptops, you have a 2nd one, all for the same $.

It's dependent on use case. For me, I'm looking to save as much space as possible both in my suitcase and on the power strip. To charge 3 devices and occupy only 1 outlet, this charger is the one. There's another more expensive charger with 3 USBC and 1 USBA but it's bigger and more expensive.

What exactly does this do that a $20 charger won't do? I don't understand why anyone would pay this.

I have their 100 watt charger and thankfully I can report that it has been nothing but great. Barely gets warm, handles anything I throw at it.

I'm sure there are, but I'm also curious how they compare. Same wattage and charging rate? Multiple devices? PPS? Safety listing? Safety features? Compact form factor?

Depends on the $20 charger! If it's UL/ETL listed, from a reputable brand, preferably GaN for less heat and size/weight, and supports power delivery/pps for Samsung and supported devices, and puts out decent concurrent multiport juice, then the Anker has nothing over it.

Anker used to be well-priced compared to performance, but they have become a well-known brand and are priced accordingly nowadays.
