The QC35 were micro USB, the QC45 are type c. And that's exactly what these are Bose QC45 SE
they are the same model as the old 45s without a hard shell case

The new ones are definitely tuned differently [rtings.com]. Some say the new ones sound better, some say it's worse. The new ones are definitely boosted in the bass.
