Microcenter had the 4060 Legion 5 for exactly the same price. This is not a deal.

Meh, $800 for a 4050. CPU is way overkill for the GPU. At least it's a 1080p screen so it's balanced with the 4050 in that regard.

Is that deal from a while ago.

For anyone who does not care about battery life, they can try to wait for a Legion deal.

For those who are considering it for other tasks, like me and who may want to use it on battery power for extended periods at times:
While the Legions are very nice, aside from the Slim series, it seems Legion 5 Pros e.g. have low battery life (check the charts of the below reviews):

The strong point / draw of the Asus TUF A15 Ryzen 7 and this Ryzen 9 (aside from the price obviously), is the very long battery life compared to other gaming laptops.

I am not even a gamer, but am POTENTIALLY considering the TUF Ryzen 9 primarily for its amazingly long battery life for a high powered laptop with a dedicated Nvidia GPU.

I may get the Ryzen 9 7940HS + RTX 4050 variant of this TUF A15 2023 and save an additional $150 since I do not game on my PCs and in any case I have a desktop with a higher RTX GPU if needed.

That said, I will compare the TUF to my i9-13900H Asus Creator. May keep the latter since it is has a nicer 600 nits OLED panel and it lighter, yet still has 2 SSD slots and supports RAM upgrades albeit only has 1 SODIMM slot (40 GB DDR5 in mine).

EDIT / UPDATE - Checked the TUF A15 in person. Prefer my i9 Creator. On my phone, so will update this later..
