According to this they are about the same power cards https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com...4150vs4109

RTX 4060 same price better to stick with Nvidia for guaranteed compatibility !

According to Tom's GPU hierarchy, its definitely not comparable.

I have had too many issues in the past when gaming that were caused by AMD driver issues. When I want to game I want to game not go to forums to diagnose issues and workarounds for my video card! I always buy Intel for the same reason even if AMD has this months faster processor, I like stability and my stuff to just work when I need it to!
That's antiquated thinking. You can stick with what's familiar but the AMD of today is far from the AMD of yesteryears. This is evident by the plethora of great reviews for their CPUs. Their GPUs are still a bit behind NVIDIA, but def not miles behind like before. The top end GPU, you're still stuck with NVIDA, but anything below the top rung is a trade-off between the two.

This is coming from someone who also only used intel for many years, until the few builds. Likewise, I have only purchased nvidia in the past, but I would not hesitant to purchase a well-priced AMD gpu at this time.

I will add that this has never happened with any other game, in many years of gaming, and that the RX 6700 XT is much more powerful with 50% more memory than a standard RTX 4060.

The comment section has already turned into fanboy battles but here is the first related comment: can still be considered a "deal" but you can find a similar deal almost anytime with this card. Very capable card but should not be this price anymore. I saw 6750 at this price from microcenter before and countless 6700 models dropping to this price. Besides, buying from newegg: maybe if the deals is not too good, but definitely not for such an easily replaceable deal from amazon, bestbuy or microcenter

I own a different version of this card and it runs any game I throw at it flawlessly. I've even played the new Alan Wake 2 without any hiccups or glitches. I'm not a fanboy, but I had to go with something that I could afford and this card is great bang for the buck.

The RTX 4060 is close to the RX 6700 XT when you take into account ray tracing according to Tom's hardware at 1080p.
https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...asus-dual/

It's pretty mixed and I think it's pretty close on which one I'd pick at $300. It you are stuck with a <500W PSU, the 4060 draws less than a 6600! Nvidia still has a lock in content creation with wide support for CUDA cores. The RX 6700 XT has a clear superiority when it comes to raw numbers for rasterization performance.

If you doing pure windows gaming, the I suppose the amd's driver is pretty good as of late (I have 6800xt, and not until this year has amd driver resolved my audio stutter issue, and that is a well known issue for AMD for ages)
But if you do more than windows gaming. I'd suggestion getting Intel or nvidia.

Not even talking about production (aka, CUDA programming or video encoding), if you do emulation game at all, amd's openGL support is at a poor stage, that means unless your emulator (and game ) can run vulkan, you will have to endure bad frame rate and artifacts

There's a RX 6750XT on Amazon for $330 but its physically larger. The 6700 is shorter if you have space constraints.

I picked up a 6750xt a few weeks ago when it was $299.99. It's been a great card for 1440p, no complaints.
