As others have noted, this isn't particularly large. I picked up two during the last sale to plate up veggies from my Blackstone. I just put the pan on the griddle and toss the cooked food into it to keep warm at the table. It looks nice as a serving dish, but you do need a cork or trivet to avoid burning your table.

No, Lodge uses kosher vegetable oil, but you have to pay a fee for someone to verify that claim and certify the product as kosher. They want to keep prices down, so they skip on the fee, but use the right oil. For the people that care, they know what to do. For everyone else it's a step up from cheap animal fats (typically lard).

Great idea. I do the Kenji Alt-Lopez method for Mac and cheese, which you don't have to bake but can if you want and this would go straight from the cooktop to the oven.
