At 22 cents, this seems like a great deal. But plastic pods. Anyone tried these before?

Great taste. Something odd with the pods. More water went into the reservoir than into the coffee. Had to pierce them twice to get coffee. Could be my older Nespresso, but annoying when you want a cup of coffee!! Aside from that - I liked the flavor - even with the plastic pods.

I've purchased these many times. I'm a coffeeholic, so morning to night. These aren't great, but I use them for my daily workday fix and use Nespresso brand when I want to pamper myself.

They're not nasty like Folgers, but definitely a step below Bestpresso. They're usually the cheapest I've found. Of course, taste is very subjective.

Crap. Not worthy. Washed down taste. If you drink a lot of coffee and wanna go with a cheap daily driver - try Amazon's Solimo (purple). Medium dark roast, mixed beans, decent body and taste. Almost no acidity. Yeah they're plastic but for around 14$ for 60 capsules beats most of the cheap options out there. There's no wow effect here so don't expect it in this price range.

Haven't tried these but I had tried a ton of plastic pods with my two machines and never found one that was remotely close to a decent cup of coffee or espresso. I think you're better off sticking with the aluminum caps.

There is barely any third-party Nespresso (original line) brand which is worth the dime. The only ones that I recommend: Illy, Lavazza (only the aluminum ones), Starbucks. My 2 cents, I hope it helps.

BTW, I have tried many of those including this brand.

What is likely happening is that these pods are lacking the silicone ring that is placed on genuine nespresso pods. Because Nestle Nespresso has a patent on the silicone ring that goes on the pod, off-brand pods will lack this feature. Thus it does not create a good seal, which causes water to go into the reservoir. James Hoffman has a good video on youtube that goes over this as well if anyone is further interested.

It is not my Nespresso maker! Smilie I thought since other pods were fine, but I had no idea why. This is good to know! TY!! Heart

I've had these. They taste less like Garibaldi's and more like Gary's bald ass.
