I was in Walmart today and seen maybe about 80 of these 4K streaming devices for $10. likely in store only YMMV . you can't even buy a remote for this price. This is great for setting up to view WYZE CAM with TinyCam pro and a monitor to have your own little security system.

Have the same audio issue.... you using a yamaha reciever ?
I am. But I don't always use it, for watching at low volume I leave the receiver off and use the TV speakers, and the audio problem would still happen regularly.
Linus Tech Tips just reviewed a bunch of Android TV boxes and this one won out as best value, at this price it's a steal. It is a little under powered, but it's just fine compared to all the other ones out there. Avoid the no name Amazon ones, since me of them have traces of malware buried in the android files
Just more evidence that this entire genre of electronics are "out to get you". They're intrusive, interrupt-based, advert-serving, "engagement" devices with the primary goal of spying on you and mining your personal data -- so someone else can profit from you.
If they happen to do what they advertise, that's an extra bonus.
Better to sideload onto Windows 11 if you can. Doesn't require a 3rd party app. I heard the onn streaming box can sideload apps too.
You can side load any Android box as far as I know. I tried to side load the Wyze app and it wouldn't work at all. I also tried side loading Google Home. It loaded but wasn't fully functional.
I had the opposite experience and went back to my 4K Chromecast and FireStick 4K Max. The Onn player slows big time over time. I've had a few since release and the performance is noticeably slower now. It's not a storage or cache thing as I'm well adversed on all of that. The only thing I can think of is app updates.
I actually switched back to my Roku devices on two TVs. Had 3 CCwGTV devices since release and they have become slower and have issues. Dolby Vision will studder and apps are slower to load and navigate compared to Roku. I like the Google interface better and the integration with Google photos. Google really needs to update the 4K version with a new model soon.
Oh give it a rest...YOU didn't and can't buy it for $10
Wow, you didn't read my comment at all, lol. I didn't buy this for $10. For $20, I'm happy with it and IMHO it's a steal at $10 if that's the price at your local WM.
Have the same audio issue.... you using a yamaha reciever ?
I've had the same issue with yamaha receiver for months and none of the yamaha updates have fixed. I've tried multiple audio settings on the onn box to no avail.
Bought this a few days ago to replace a 1st gen Chromecast but haven't opened it. Didn't realize the 1st gen was supported until this year and I remember spending $30 on it 10 years ago. This is $20 and has way more features. Crazy how that is.
I don't have this onn. But have been using 4k ccwgtv for 2 years now. Love it and I've used fire,Roku, tizen, Apple TV...and always go back to 4k ccwgtv.
Word of advise: use apps only as the front end UI/ux!!! Gets rid of all the ads and craziness.

I've always heard Roku was known for ease its of use. I mainly use Nvidia shield tv boxes including the original from 2015. They seem to play everything I throw at it. Recently my friend moved out, and I helped him pick out a TV on black Friday. It was a 55" TCL with Roku for $188. He loves it, but an issue I had was a couple blu rays I ripped. It would not play audio on a couple of the files. Probably doesn't like the codec? It was just a passthrough rip. I could not get roku's media player to change tracks either. I wanted to try different formats. I guess the next time I go to his place I'll just use my phone for the media player.
I bought my granny the last generation onn tv box, and it has worked well enough for her. She watches church services and old movies on YouTube. If it gets slow I just power cycle it, and it works fine afterwards.

Can stremio handle 4k content? On my chromecast I have to do 720p to avoid studder and skips on the player.

One of my streaming apps(Viki) says they will require 8.1 and above in the near future.
I've got a crate full of obselete streaming sticks and boxes....
Damn Viki still in operation? I thought they shutdown. That was my kdrama source.
