Picked up 2 from BB.

Seemed like a good deal for Android 13, 8GB of ram, and 256GB of storage.

They'll replace a couple of older Chromebooks.

Underestimated how the kids would enjoy using the stylus.

Thanks OP!

I just got an open-box, "excellent" condition Lenovo Duet 5 Chromebook from Best Buy a little over a week ago for ~$250. Lenovo doesn't have the best customer service and support reviews so if you want a great device that you know will get continued support and security updates for years to come, that is an excellent alternative to this device.

update: I just double checked and my local options have an excellent open box model available for $247. A fantastic deal for a great Chromebook/tablet solution on the 8GB RAM model: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/leno...lsrc=aw.ds

Exactly for this price you can get a used i7 windows PC or a well equipped Chromebook new
You can also get a bag of gold plated doritos or a toaster. Yet, they are still not a tablet.

Same price it has been for awhile. It was also this price at Best Buy up until Christmas.

I bought this P12 a month ago and picked up that open box Duet 5 last week to compare and return which I liked less.

I figured the versatility of the Chromebook, with the keyboard and nicer (I assumed) OLED screen would make it a better device but I ended up sending it back.

The OLED at 1080p was noticeably blurrier than the 3K P12 screen, and honestly besides better black levels I thought the P12s screen was at least equal. The duet also felt much slower than the P12 and chrome is wayyy worse than android in tablet mode. ChromeOS just felt kind of goofy to me, if your desire is mainly a tablet the P12 is superior imo. One annoying example is the Netflix app doesn't support HD so you need to run through a browser which doesn't support offline viewing.

I still wish this P12 had an OLED screen like the P11 Pro Gen 2 but other than that this is a great device for ~$250.

Bless your heart, darlin'. I read the No Network as no wifi but Improvius KINDLY pointed out my mistake so I thanked them. Your Mama teach you that sarcasm?

Those both sound like terrible alternatives to a tablet.

Agreed. Windows running in tablet mode is neither tablet intuitive or windows intuitive, it's almost tablet and almost windows but just annoying enough to make you switch back to full windows or a real tablet.

Got the P12 from last deal, replaces my nexus 7 tablet xD

P12 is a bit too big to game on as thumbs can't easily reach the whole screen. Otherwise it's quite nice, especially the screen

Which generation of i7? Big difference there.
