Lol, Gollum is only $4.99 but they ship it disc only since they know the case is the most valuable thing there.

The only game I bought from them recently was unplayable due to edge damage, though the return process was pretty easy.

Everything I've bought from them has come with the case and inserts but I've never seen a listing on gamefly that said 'Disc Only' before like Gollum does. Other used games I checked don't have it listed that way.

I'm surprised Gamefly renting is even still a thing considering a majority of new games drop tons of value in the first year. I guess it might make sense for AAA switch games since they tend to hold their value forever.

They aren't producing the games, just buying copies of the physical media and renting it out to subscribers. Their problem is basically the same as GameStop in that the industry is doing everything it can to shove people to an all-digital world where people don't have pesky things like ownership or resale rights, games can be taken away at any time or for any reason, and game prices will be higher for longer because what other options do consumers have?

Not buying. Which is exactly what I do for every all digital release. Digital only release on console is laughable.
