Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
edit, looking at Slickdeals search it seems like this same set has been noted on sale many times at around same price for years. I guess the "black and gold" is more decorative and so these are not titanium but just a typical black oxide coating with some gold decoration.
gotta decide if getting a titanium set is worth it for a little more money or just go with this and be done with it. I am an occasional DIYer looking to upgrade an old Craftsman set I've had for ages

Makita B-65399 Impact Gold 14 Pc. Titanium Drill Bit Set, 1/4 In. Hex Shank https://a.co/d/6vaPlY4
this Makita set usually goes on sale for $11 randomly , it eeems like you'll rarely use them so it might last you a while

I was trying to stay away from the Hex Shank ones as I've read they can often be a little off center and have more runout which isn't ideal for drilling an exact hole. I am targeting getting the "3 flat" shank for a regular drill
I saw that, yes. Since I am in the market now I may just pick it up, unless anyone knows what that dude was talking about a 20pc set at Home Depot for $10. I don't see that anywhere on line

It depends on what you're drilling into, but I decided to go with a cobalt set over titanium for the metal work I do occasionally
I have this set, they're good bits. The 3/8" bit went through 3/4" hard red oak with no drama, then proceeded to accidentally drill all the way through some 1/2" pine I had under the oak piece I was working on like the pine wasn't even there.
