Also amused they've made no solid shelves into a selling point. Ventilated!

Using Amazon's MO of treating ratings of "3" and below as negative, there's currently just shy of 23% negative reviews. IOW, over 77% are positive.

Reading through the one stars gives a lot of people complaining about Walmart processes (delivery, pickup, assembly, etc.) instead of rating the product itself. As such, the actual negative rate is probably noticably lower.

There are certainly some valid cautionary tales among the negative reviews, but a number of them seem to be things anyone who had a reasonable basic grasp of physics (and perhaps construction) would know to avoid. For example, the first one I read said the shelves fell down with relatively little weight on them even though the shelves were supposedly bolted to the wall. I can't help but think that could only have happened if they just screwed them into some drywall (instead of a stud/support beam) without using the appropriate anchors or bolts.

That actually can be good if you're using them for things that might be wet from time to time, or are using them in a damp environment like a basement.

Careful with the shelf weight limit.. it's a joke. Only the bottom shelf can hold 150 lbs βœŒοΈπŸ˜‚

I've bought one of these shelves, and they are horrible. It is a huge pain to put together because there are so many manufacturing imperfections in the plastic. Not to mention a small weight imbalance will cause it to come toppling down.

I reccomend the Greenmade 5-tier utility rack from Costco. It is very durable, high quality, made in the USA, and you can get it for ~$35 in stores.

I gave some janky shelves that looked just like these away. The nicer metal shelves don't cost much more..

I have 5 of these for basement storage. They're perfect for that. Cheaply made (some are missing insertion holes, don't line up, etc) but these are all very easy fixes since it's plastic, and they feel very sturdy once assembled. Assembly is very simple. FYI these are 18" deep which is deeper than many other shelves, so this can fit some storage bins.

These appear to be the exact same as the Harbor Freight Yukon shelf. I don't have any experience with the Hart branded ones, but I do have 8 of the Yukon's. I absolutely love them, have not had any issues putting them together, or with them not being sturdy enough. Two of them I am certain are currently over the "safe" weight limit. This is not the best price I have seen, but not terrible either.

Got two of these over the weekend, they were a bit difficult to assemble, but once done and anchored to the walls, they're pretty sturdy.

These are horrible, but also I've been using mine with no issues for almost a decade now. I took a look at the Lowe's ones on sale right now, they're a better pick

I agree. The Costco $35 ones are great, but they've been out of stock all fall through now. I look every time for them.
