Decent price. However, at some point you will realize that you need a plunge base. A combo kit (router, fixed base, plunge base, and case) usually is on sale for $200.

And at that point, this unit will just be permanently mounted in a table. Nothing wrong with that at all

I don't understand your reply. The combo kit is on sale at Rockler for $200, free shipping over $50. Don't know how long shopping.usa will need to wait for a deal on a Bosch router table.

The combo with the plunge base was recently like $169. Unless one has a table or just needs this right now, waiting for that deal would be a bit more slick.

I'm saying that you don't necessarily need a plunge base for THIS router if you are just going to be using it in a router table. You mount this in the table one time and never remove it. You get a different router to use by hand. I'm not paying $200 for the "combo kit" just to mount this permanently into a router table and never use the plunge base anyways.
