just learned kate spade is dead. these aren't authentic
Kate Spade sold her company in 06 or 07. A few different Creative Directors continued in her absence since then, but that doesn't mean every item produced since she left is inauthentic.
That said and not to thread crap, but the outlet is definitely not the same quality as the KS specialty stores. The outlet may use some of the same leather on occasion, but the hardware and finishings are cheaper quality/craftsmanship.

Owned by Coach (Tapestry) now. Correct?
Def the same sale strategies. Huge markup and then 40-70% off.
Most outlet products are not the same as retail (material, manufacturing, pricing). The days of outlets being old retail stock or just QC rejects (but retail quality) are looong gone.

Hello! Yes, Tapestry. Coach is another good example of lower quality items at an outlet. I haven't purchased from a Coach factory in over 10 years, but the serial numbers inside used to start with "F" to indicate which items were produced specifically for their factory (outlet) stores. On the flipside, items that did originate from the Coach retail stores had a bullseye (similar to the Target logo) stamped into the interior to prevent returns/exchanges at a non-factory store.
