As an owner of both brands, I can say they're virtually identical in every way. There's absolutely no reason to spend more on the MTM version.

Not really.

MSRP for those is $29.99, while for MTM is $39.99 so only 25% more, however Midway USA has MTM on sale for $33.99, and you could get MTM on Amazon for $24.99.

Everything is about right place and right time.

I would say not fireproof, especially when you're talking about the 1k+ temps from a lithium battery fire. If you are trying to contain a fire properly for lithium batteries, you'll probably need to purchase something specifically made for that.

Yes. I purchased 4 of the Greenmade 27 Gallon bins last week in NorCal (Hayward Costco). They're $8.99/each. Plenty of them in stock.

Dunno. There's a couple of Fudds who think the MTM version is different or better (it's not), or the "guns=bad" contingent maybe?
