Cool. Go ahead and link the better deal you've found that's in the race, so to speak.

No offense intended. But I went back a year and found exactly zero Ryzen 7 5800X desktops posted for less than $1000. So this is literally the best price ever posted for this computer, by hundreds of dollars. To say it's not in the race is a bit off the mark, in my opinion. It's not the latest and greatest, but it's also not 2 grand.

I would imagine that these are cleaned, repaired as necessary, wiped and reloaded with a fresh operating system, and tested to new specifications. Comes with a 180 day warranty from MSI.

Way too high of prices for a DDR4 refurb with these specs. If it was at least a DDR5 board we could enter the race.

Graphics-wise, this is the RTX 4060 Ti level performance. CPU-wise, it's close to i5-13400F. Funny that your other deal is getting more attention. I would've sprung the extra $100 to get this: The better CPU and the bigger SSD seem to be worth it.

Good morning and thanks for commenting. I thought exactly the same thing; this is the one I'd buy for $100 more. A few years from now is when that extra value will prove out, and in the meantime performance is better all around.

Literally, or just as an experiment to identify component cost?

It's an AM4 CPU/mobo, of course it's DDR4.

I'm not as much of an expert as most of you, but this looks like a nice mid-range 1440p build. I like it.

There are lots of opinions in these comments sections, some well informed and others shooting from the hip. A couple of great resources for factual data on tech like this are YouTube and Amazon reviews, where actual owners discuss their ownership experience, upgrades, performance, and gripes. It's usually also a great opportunity to see interior layout, like RAM slots and SATA/M.2 ports available, hard drive expansion bays, PCIe slots, etc. Some of the tech channels do more in-depth testing and benchmarking with standard programs and while gaming. Sort of gives you an idea of what to expect prior to the cash outlay of a purchase. Since a lot of any desktop's performance is driven by the CPU, there are also CPU benchmarking and comparison websites with in-depth information, as well as GPU data. You probably already know most of what I'm saying here, but if it's posted publicly like this it might help someone make a better informed decision, rather than possibly being misled by opinions that aren't based on facts.
