I bought these and I live in N Texas….they did nothing to deter mosquitoes. The mosquitoes would be all over me and would actually land on this thing. Hate mosquitoes so much.

Not to tc, but these things don't work. The only reliable thing that has worked here in South Florida are Mosquito Dunks. Cheap, and effective.

Believe me, I've tried everything, from this product, to the zappers to the coils. This product by far is the least effective. The mosquitos are litterally feet away from it and not dying. For anyone on the fence, read the reviews on Lowes or Amazon. Don't take my word for it. My buying protocol is that anything with more than 10% 1 star review is a no go. I realized after buying this product that it was a waste of money and time.
Just to be clear, these aren't meant to kill mosquitos. It's a repellant.

I have a battery powered model and it works fairly well. Not perfect, but certainly a clear decrease in mosquitos when it's on. It seems like the performance varies with conditions (like others mentioned with wind) and to some extent with location/region. Maybe some mosquitos are more affected than others?

In for one of each. I swear by these, I've owned every version, imo the original coffin shaped one is the best but any one I've used work well.

Definitely best when you put them out in a area 10 to 15 minutes before you are there. Waist level is better than on the floor or hanging up high

Only down side is the cost of the refills they almost never go on sale

I've seen people texas use a Drum Fan you know the big ones with the band and huge fan blade? Maybe 30 years inches or more, then put window screen material on the intake side. It just sucks all them in and blows them out. You can spray attractant on the screen and put it there maybe 12 feet off your patio and shoot it away or across the patio. It get a better bug barrier wind and the screen will trap the mosquitoes. Hose off the screen when it's full.

This only works for Northeast mosquitoes. It's not a pesticide. Mosquitoes do not die, but rather get disoriented.

I had placed an order yesterday for in-store pick up, website said 11 of them available, but they cancelled my order because "out of stock". This is constantly happening to me at my local Lowe's for clearance items.
Happened to me yesterday. Went to the store and there was an entire rolling rack full of them in the patio area. No idea why they would cancel.

Also N Texas and Im a skeeter magnet. These work ok, but wind diminishes them. I actually use 2 coffin type 15' apart and sit in middle. I am using old formula as I got a whole bunch of refills a few years ago. They mask you so you gotta be in the stink...
