I know 60% is out of fashion right now, but it's great once you get used to needing two keys for the arrows. The switches alone are around $15. Only the gateron blues are discounted, the same KB with browns is still $79

I don't understand why these smaller form factors are even popular in the first place, but maybe I'm just a little too old...

I think they were the product of a super minimalist trend, combined with a bit of programmer elitism that eschews the arrow keys, the whole Vi versus Emacs thing. I've also heard that gamers like them because there's more room the the mouse. I honestly only got a 60% keyboard because they were insanely discounted recently, I got a GMMK 60% for $20 with gateron brown switches and once I got used to the lack of arrow keys, I've really fallen in love with mechnical keyboards. I only found this deal because I was looking for a set of clicky switches to try out with it.

While I find 60% going a little too far, it's a great price for a nice keyboard. Or maybe $5 extra for a larger selection of switches?

60% is great for fps gamers who have a low sens and need room to swing their forearm without hitting the keyboard.

This is a really good keyboard but Blues would drive me crazy lol.

I like the 60% layout but when you play battlefield games and need the F keys, it's a pain having to press Fn key to switch seats in vehicles. Like someone said, these are great for gamers that want to reduce space and have space for other things, especially mouse being closer.

Looking into a 75% now since also that's a new trend lol.

The savings from not moving your palms away from the the center keyboard are worth it. Takes a bit of a practice, but once you are there, it saves a lot. I'm not a vim/emacs purist, I use some combination of fn + asdw for arrow keys, and fn + op nm for home, end pg up and down.
Best way to get used to it is to try this on a regular keyboard and then move to 60% if you feel it is worth.

I have one of these and I really like it overall.

One thing that confuses me though... when you're using it via Bluetooth and it's gone to sleep because you haven't typed in a while, it doesn't remember your first few keystrokes when you start typing again. You have to wait for it to finish connecting and then start typing. This is pretty confusing when you're entering a computer password, for example.

And my other wireless keyboards (Logitech Keys, Apple Magic Keyboard) do this just fine.

If anyone knows a setting to change this behavior, I'd love to know.

Shame would have pick one up at $39. It's $59 now.
