These definitely need to be secured down (which the manual does specify as well), they're very lightweight and the lid is like a giant sail. I tried without securing, which lead to a toppled over shed and damaged lid. The company wants $250 for a new lid alone.

I ended up buying some fiber mesh and epoxy from home depot and repaired the lid where the rails were ripped off.

Hopefully you all can learn from my mistake and avoid this additional step…

Just get some 2by4 from home depot.. and if you think the bottom of the shed might get wet. Add some treated wood for the bottom level that touches the ground. If you make it a tight fit, it makes the shed really sturdy. I use a half inch plywood for the shelves. So my shelves are 82" by 24" exactly across the back of shed and I have two levels. I thought about buying the premade ones but they were only 77" and I really wanted to use up every inch of the shed. So I plan on extending one side of the shed to add shelvings on there also. (this is actually for the 7'by 7' shed. but you get the idea!
