    If you are thinking of getting because of seeing tv show, the story is reimagined for tv with many different characters and slightly altered plot from the books.

    With that said, I found books just ok. The pacing and focus from chapter to chapter is almost jarring with long, slow parts and then something major happens and huge change in an event or outcome and many plot/story holes.

    I never felt convinced with some of the back story, but "Shift" was definitely my favorite book in series.

    Good deal, but slightly overrated book series imo.

    Looks like I got this for $2 on Kindle back in March of this year. I guess the TV show upped the price.

    I thought Wool was pretty good when I read it the week Apple released the first episode of their TV show.

    But daggummit, if I didn't just buy the second book last week for $15.

    I completed the series after watching the show. I like the plot and storyline. Hopefully the series will not be netflix'd
    The books themselves have a lot of fluff that is not to my liking

    Some of the pacing of Wool seems like a slog, but when you realize the meta thing that is representing going up and down the stairs, it makes more sense. (But is still drags a bit).

    Excellent series. I already have all of them, but would jump on this in an instant otherwise.

    I have to also say that the show was crap. I know bookies say this all the time, but this time it's true. The show was 4/10
