This box is pretty garbage, good for slumlord but I wouldn't use it in primary residence
And what is your issue with them exactly? Those are supposed to be for old work so in a situation where you need to add something or replace what is already in the wall. So you are not building a whole house using these.

Please provide a link to the box you use? Last time I checked the choices are PVC or Fiberglass.

Plus you need them if you run conduit.
Just about every NEW home for over 35 years, including Multi million dollar homes, use NON metal boxes(unless a specific use and required).
Use a box which attaches to the framing and do the work of drywall cut/repair. This box has feeble little tabs that loosen with use.
