Looks like they are playing shenanigans when you do a trade in. A $75 trade in device is only making a net -$50 + tax difference to the final price. I'm cranky because it's still a net $12 cheaper than the 6GB version I bought a few weeks ago. They still have my trade in tied up so I'm stuck, but this would have been a much better deal. I'll try their chat to see if they'll do anything for me, but based on others experiences, I doubt it.

Edit: I think what they're doing is deducting the trade in before applying the discount, so the discount goes down as the value of your trade in goes up.

I'm 1 for 2 on trade ins this year. Trade in for my S23 went smooth. Trade in for the S9 FE has been sitting in their queue since 12/6 but still shows pending receipt on the website. I hit their CS last week. They acknowledged getting it and said they were badly backlogged because of the holiday sales. It was supposed to be processed by 12/26, but still no joy on that one

they used to override it if backlogged

Has anyone figured out how to get the trade-in discount to work properly? Got it for $153 plus tax with s6 lite trade in. Repped OP.

That's the price for the 6gb/128gb version. Make sure you select the 8gb/256g version in silver. Price will adjust when you put it in cart

Samsung trade-in deals have been crappy this year, besides the S23 Ultra/S9 Ultra deal a few months ago.

Case in point, I'd expect this be the price after trade in for the regular S9 and not the FE.

yup. my first trade in was for *any* Samsung tablet, so I sent in an old 7" Samsung tablet I had (after photographing the relevant model and serial info).... they opened the box, took a photo, and sent me the photo telling me that my trade in was ineligible because it was a smart watch! yes, customer svc sorted. it out, but...
