Wondering if this is compatible with an AMS.

I know most cardboard spools have some issues, but some work fine too
While the spools are cardboard, the edges have glue. I've run a ton of Elegoo cardboard spools through the AMS and never seen any signs of cardboard dust of any kind. Bambu does mention not to run cardboard spools. I think people have _really_ blown this out of proportion and turned it into cardboard dust getting into the gears. I think the much bigger issue with cardboard is that they can deform or easily get bent. That _does_ cause an use with the spools working in the AMS.

No cardboard should be used on an AMS because it can leave dust inside. You can apply electrical tape or use an adapter to get around that, however.

My biggest issue has been weight. The cardboard spools work when full but they start to have feeding problems around the halfway mark. I printed a weight for the center and I'll give the adapter a try to make sure it's rolling smooth

Difference in weight when empty is about 1 ounce. That is the entire spool. The bottom 1/2 would not account for much so perhaps only 1/2 ounce difference. I don't see that as making any difference as far as weight. I can see that as being an argument for cardboard slipping more... but I don't think that is the case either. Cardboard would grip much more then smooth plastic. The AMS is SUPER finicky. Sometime is the spool is 1mm in the wrong place, it simply will not roll.

It wouldn't let me add to cart, but I could "Buy it now." In for 2@$20. My first time with something other than PLA.
PETG isn't much more difficult than PLA.
You'll need to print at a bit higher nozzle/bed temps and may need to do something to ensure it sticks AND RELEASES from your bed. I don't need to do anything with my bed since it is a textured PEI plate. I sometimes use hairspray to ensure adhesion.

Some cardboard spools I had were simply larger after using an adapter and had to leave the AMS lid open (will prob print an adapter for that too..lol)

Interesting that it shows "in stock" now for the black which is also what it shows for white.
However, white ships overnight, but black ships Jan 9-11.
Sounds like "in stock" sometimes means in stock in China.
