Reading is FUNdamental my friend.
There was a big push to take the monopoly away from UL a while back. So now there are 5 or so companies that can do the listing, however they are still UL compliant
So, for all practical purposes, this is safe. Though I would check ETLs actual list and make sure this product/brand are on there
My recommendation is to use Velcro strips and Velcro it to the outlet to give it some added strength so you can unplug devices without risking breaking the plastic plug…
BTW, The best ones have metal plugs for the top and bottom, which is far more difficult to accidentally unplug. HOWEVER, if using one that has metal prongs on the top and bottom, do you want to make sure that you're not connecting it to an outlet that split across two different circuits… Or we are one outlet is controlled by a light switch… because in that case you're combining the circuits.
