no it isn't - it was under 43 several times last january - it has been under 45 several times recently.

I just bought this and tried it out this week. I live in an older house and it doesn't work that well. I read other reviews that it doesn't work well with some wiring, so just keep that in mind.

Heads up: will not work in a non energized circuit. Was trying to find the wiring to a dead outlet. Might work great for someone/ something else

There is a cheaper one that works just fine, it's all black and rectangular. They don't really promote it or advertise it but it works. I was at Home Depot months ago looking for this one and the guy there told me to look around the corner there was one of the cheaper ones hanging up and I bought it and it is fine, in fact used it a couple of days ago. Think I paid in the $20s for that one.
