Not worth it tbh. Cringe ass voice overs, EA putting in a limit of restarts per race, if you leave races then you loose money, parts of the game is hard on purpose which makes you settle for 2nd and 3rd place in some races, and same rubber band AI. I already know the "git gud" no life people are going to come after me because i don't want to dedicate my life to the game.

I'm just getting back into racing games after not playing for years.
I was pursuaded by this video to go with an older NFS game first before this one...maybe later on I will get this or move on to Forza 5 when it gets discounted more in future.

So I was considering buying "NFS Heat" and maybe Grid Legends over this, but do you all think this game is better than both combined?

The other 2 are $9.50 vs this one game for $9.79 ....& Heat is only $3.50. If I had more to spend I'd get all 3 for $20, or get Forza horizon 5 for $30 or $40, but not a serious racer....just getting back into it casually.

Heat and Unbound are very similar in gameplay. You can read some Steam reviews and fine plenty of comparisons to Heat. Just know NFS games are not very realistic racing games. They are fun but not at all realistic. I had a great time playing Heat, not the best story but it will scratch the "racing" itch. I've never played Grid but Forza is much closer to a realistic racing game.

Thanks for the reply..NFS looks fun. Yes I'm looking for more fun vs realistic sim, though I like both. I already have Project Racing 2 and Assetto Corso Competizio for sim racing. So just trying to add more different types of racing franchises to the mix using a simple Thrustmaster T150 wheel, buy my 2 pedals suck...not as good as the G29 Logitech wheels with their better pedal design.

They can, they just don't have an exhaust noise. A lot of these games need the exhaust noise I feel. But I'm sure it will be in more games

I wanted to try this game and last sometime last year Steam had a free weekend. So excitedly I downloaded and was disappointed. First, it installs the EA app (or whatever), second the whole game is cringe, the music, the clothes/style, etc. And third the game just wasn't fun for me. The cars look really cool in that Automodelista cel shades style but that's about the only thing I liked out it. YMMV

TLDR: Game is bleh

Not a bad deal! Looks like it doesnt include all the DLC though. Funny that out of that list Unbound has the lowest reviews.
