Probably not great but likely about the same as most other inexpensive baitcasters. Same reel under other listings for ~$50 so better than that. ; )

Clip coupon for 20% off of a couple of other variants shown.

Odd, that they say they have over 50 years experience, but I've never heard of them. One of the reviews seems to indicate that the drag sucks. Having tried cheap baticasters and cheap spinning reels, I don't recommend them unless you know that they are good. It's a gamble, but always returnable.

Bait caster is not a reel to go cheap on, given tuning to prevent birds nests. Not saying this one is, but be warned

Yeah, just another re-labled Chinese reel so it's 50 years combined fishing experience between a few guys who had some made with the Tempo name.

Haven't bought a cheap one for a long, long time. Did get this one just to put on an extra rod that I won't be using much. See how it is. For ~$15 I can take it off and toss it to a kid at the dock.

In case anyone is looking at these again, they're much better than you'd expect. Got mine today. Overall build quality is good and very smooth operation. I was throwing it back to back with Daiwa Zillions and SV TW103s and it didn't feel like complete junk which says something. It's heavily damped so kind of difficult to birds nest. I was using a 1/10th oz Ned rig head with Z-man TRD and could loosen the spool completely and take the magnetic control to minimum and cast with pretty much no thumb without any problem (but I've fished baitcasters for 50+ years so...). Casts OK. As said, not very free spooling so would be better with something with a little more weight to it. Didn't catch anything on it to test the drag. Pulls by hand OK. Seems good enough that I came home and bought another one. Who knows how well they'll hold up over time.

If you have 10 employees with 5 years each that's where it counts
