Depends on one's situation and what one would need it for.
Are you stuck with an LGA1200 mother board?
- If yes, you can get an i9 for less on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08X6KQSZ1).
- If no, you can get newer, much better Intel or AMD CPUs for less. I recommend AMD's AM5 platform, which gives you a guaranteed upgrade path for the next several years.
I heard that 11th gen Intel CPUs are a joke because they are very inefficient/power-hungry and run hot. At $280, not worth it IMO.
