Most of these WiFi chipsets are Intel/Realtek/Qualcomm. Gigabyte does not make their radio chipsets.

This TREADnet AX3000 is supposed to be Intel based so Windows and Linux support should be fine.

Do these get better reception than built in WiFi on motherboard? On first glance it seems like they might due to the antennae and being external to the case.
