Unless you wanted to have the option of booting up in Windows (which would suck with 8GB RAM) I have no idea why one would buy this over the latest M2 version for $80 bucks more, even with half the storage.
This is the 2018 model. The 2020 model was an M1. Woot made a mistake, either by listing the 2018 as 2020, or it's supposed to be an M1 with 2018 specs.

Yea, this ain't worth much as I believe the ram is also integrated. True "no go"
If this was the final intel versions, the storage is not upgradeable but the ram is though its not a simple process. I dont think 400 is a bad price for it, but it's a question of whether the intel is so much better than the apple silicon (which IMO it's not as big a deal).

The Intel minis are not a bad RAM upgrade, I did two recently (to 64GB, https://www.newegg.com/mushkin-en...6820226928). You just have to follow the instructions and be careful about the cabling -took about 30 minutes, a clean square foot and a Walmart security bit set.
One of the systems had a lot of crud in the processor fan, the work ended up being especially beneficial for that one. The other just works the same.
I bought each of those systems used for ~$400 in Q4 2022, so this may not be a great price now. One of mine was manufactured in 2020, it is possible that these are (early) 2020-manufactured Intel minis.
