I got a back alley deal on a LG - UltraGear 45" OLED Curved WQHD 240Hz. Now I just need a laptop. What do you recommend to get the most out of the monitor. Take it my ps5 won't really cut it

Go back to the alley and get a 4070 (or better) desktop GPU and build a system around it.

Or get a laptop with a 4080 or 4090.
