I believe this is a solid deal. However, 250 nits brightness is not great. That alone would make me continue looking elsewhere.

Great price on this, but interesting choice of mixing an AMD processor with an Nvidia video card. Maybe AMD isn't quite up to efficient laptop specs yet?
I rarely see AMD Laptop GPUs despite i know them making them. All i ever see are Built in igpu like the 780m igpu in the Ryzen 7040 series laptop processors.

Not weird at all, since AMD is hardly making any GPUs for laptops.

This has been a popular CPU for budget systems. It's power efficient and usually spec'd for low wattage, but it's pretty slow for 2023. It's based on the prior gen node.

You really need to take the time and do some research. Zen3 and up laptop chips have been quite good on power. Zen3+ was primarily focused on optimizing the C-States even further.

The ASUS Tuf AMD Advantage Edition was what I went with. The screen has better sRGB and 300 nits, which is plenty good for my use case.

It's not a slow chip, lol. It's not as fast as the Zen4 variant obviously, but it's absolutely no slouch with gaming workloads. Zen3 is still very relevant with gaming.

brightness always needs to be set to max at 250nits for even lower light usage and for gaming you usually have to pump the brightness in the game settings to be able to see anything comfortably.

I would say yes. Why? It's only a 1080p display. Meaning the graphics card, processor, and ram are enough to run the game smoothly.

2k and 4k graphics settings - No, not smoothly or you have to turn down all the in-game graphic settings.

I'm in the market for a new low/mid-range gaming laptop. I dropped mine over Christmas vacation and shattered the screen. Mad

Yeah, 250 bit and I'm a little surprised no USB 4 (Acer Nitro was $75 cheaper 2 months ago with same specs but has usb 4…)
