Just bought another model of Shark that lasted 3 vacuum sessions before motor overheated and died. Will never buy another Shark product.

That's too bad. My previous lift away lasted a long time before I gave it away. I have two dogs and it was great.

Bought a dyson a couple years ago and wish I still had the shark.

My Shark vacuum (similar design to this) started disintegrating after three year. Literally the plastic body started chipping off from minor/normal bumps vacuuming (especially the corners of the base). Seems like the plastic turned brittle. Even the body plastic at the cord wrap post came off.


It's my second Sharkvac. I won't buy another one due to the questionable materials they are using.

I bought one of these before Christmas at $119. So far, I really like it.

The good stuff:
1.) Good suction
2.) Light weight
3.) The lift-away feature is good for cleaning stairs and upholstery

A few minor complaints:
1.) The included attachments are very basic - you get a crevice tool and a small vacuum head
2.) When detaching the handle to use a handheld, the vacuum hose is pretty short and doesn't stretch very much at all.

I bought the LA500WM a few months ago for $128. Has been great so far, like it much better than my Dyson ball. Not sure what the difference is between this la300 and la500 model.
