Tripp lite sucks, my PS5 died on a Tripp Lite during a power surge and they wasted hours of my time acting like they'd cover it and then screwed me in the end and didn't give me anything at all
I once installed three TVs in a bar with brand new Tripp Lite surge protectors. During a wind storm, a high voltage cable fell and landed on local distribution cables, causing a massive surge in the neighborhood.

All three TVs were fried. I filed a claim with Tripp Lite, including proof of purchase and even a copy of the letter we received from the power company stating the cause of the power surge.

Tripp Lite asked me to send in the surge protectors for analysis. They denied the claim, stating that analysis showed that all three were operating properly and showed no signs of a power surge. Yet all three TVs had fried power supply circuit boards.

I only buy APC from now on.

I'd recommend the APC. From my own personal experiences, Tripp lite surge devices have had questionable reliability. Although it may vary by model, I find that APC has been more robust, more reliable and more consistent over the years. Having an additional outlet and USB is a bonus.

What I'm concerned about is that, on the product page, there's no indication that this device is UL (or even ETL) approved! I've used several APC surge devices and have never seen this. If it's an oversight (only on the product page), then it's a significant error, but, if not, it's pointless to use ANY surge device that's missing the UL (or ETL) certification!

That reinforces my previous recommendation.

After checking the APC site, it shows the MET certification, which appears to be comparable to UL or ETL.

This model is being discontinued this month (according to APC), so it's possible that the price may drop even further (just speculation).

This once hit the $15 price point at B&H Photo in 2019 -- although my time machine is a bit wonky, today's price is not the lowest it's ever been.

I noticed that as well, but it still surprises me that it's missing the UL certification.
Most consumers are unfamiliar with "MET" and if they're educated and concerned about this (as they very well should be!), these type of products shouldn't be missing the UL certification.
IMHO, I'd want to discuss this matter with APC prior to purchasing their products at this point.

The better conversation should be with your insurance company. "Will MET certification be an appropriate substitute for for UL?"

Because if this thing catches fire and the worst should happen, many insurance companies won't pay out a dime if the item that started the fire isn't UL certified.
