And yet, Samsung sells "yesterdays" Tab S8+ (12" Tablet) with 128GB for $899 (and that's without cellular).

128gb of storage in a $800 device is atrocious. It's insulting to the consumer that such a configuration is even available from Apple.

Great deal, beats the woot deal by almost $30! Picked one up as a gift. I had just missed the woot one.

🤷 ♂️and yet yesterday's iPad still blows away tomorrows anything else and tomorrow's iPad is nearly twice as much.

The S8+ has a microsd card slot. Makes a HUGE difference. Why didn't you mention this?

This is a good deal. I will caution people tho, the 11 inch form factor is much more popular and for good reason. I've owned both, and sold the 12.9 inch version. It was too large and cumbersome for most things I do. For actual artists or creators the larger would probably be better.

🤷 ♂️ not everyone loads their iPad with movies or large games? I have a 512GB iPad, right now I'm using 99.7GB, and 27GB is Call of Duty.

With iCloud doing the heavy lifting with photos and files, the 128GB would probably be enough for the vast majority of users.

How much do you pay for iCloud per month?
I use about 700GB so I'm on a 2TB plan that costs me effectively $6.24/mo. That same cost covers my wife and sister's iCloud costs.

You can do all the math you want, but there's no way I would want to store all my files on local devices. I sync and access documents on a Mac, 2 iPads, and 2 iPhones.

Don't wish iCloud costs were cheaper? Sure, but bundling in AppleOne and stocking up on gift cards from Target every Thanksgiving makes it pretty affordable.

Sure - with the family sharing that makes sense. Not saying that there isn't a use case where the 128gb makes sense However, generally I still think that an iPad Pro with that much processing power and premium features should have more than 128gb. The fact that this model which has been on Woot since before Black Friday has sold out for every memory configuration except for the 128gb supports my point.

I certainly can't disagree, since I do generally purchase 512GB for flexibility, but in practice 128 has always been enough.

At this time, the seller has sold >1700 of these 128GB iPads. Of course, when highly discounted, people will flock to the higher capacities, especially when the next capacity is only $50 instead of $200. It's the nature of the deal.

The latest 128GB iPad 12.9 did sell out here [woot.com]

And here [woot.com]

And here [woot.com]

And pretty much every Woot deal for a 128GB iPad 12.9 is sold out. How factual is your fact?

I bought this iPad a few months ago around this price. Solid iPad but the size makes it tough to use or hold for very long periods. Okay with storage since I use iCloud. It's a solid iPad, great battery life, and performance but don't expect a laptop replacement. Especially since a keyboard will run you an additional costs.
If iPadOS was more open with 3rd party apps this would fully tap the M1 gains, but right now it's limited to the same iOS Apps that a $400 iPad can run. Nice luxury item but not worth it for me in the long run.
