I saw this movie in theaters when it first came out. I was very moved by it. If the story it tells is true then this is one of best deals on one of the best movies ever made. By the way I'm gay in case anyone thinks I'm being biased. This movie is worth watching at least once no matter who you are especially at this price.

I would double check to see if you own this movie already, I had thought I had but when I accessed the link it showed that I did not own it. Right before purchasing I thought to do a search for the movie title and sure enough I do own it and this would have just been an additional copy. Frustrating that there are two listings, any idea why it shows in their database twice? I may be missing something on my end.
Same movie, different owners.

you're not an anime watcher I take it. those who are used to subtitles can read them in fractions of a second and doesn't take away any screen time at all.
I think you responded to the wrong post. Was this meant for the original post? I did say I do not mind subtitles.

Jim Caviezel should have been more in more roles. I really like him in Frequency with Dennis Quaid.
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of our favorite movies of all time.

That's crazy, I've hardly ever seen any VUDU movie purchasable for under $5.
A lot of Xmas movies were on sale for $1.

Saw this in the theater 20 years ago and was greatly affected by it. On a cinematic level alone it is a landmark achievement. Bought the DVD when it came out but never brought myself to watch it again, it's still in its shrink wrap. It's that kind of movie.
Same. I bought the DVD years ago, but I've never been able to convince anyone in my family to watch it with me.

Thought it was dead but it resurrected, don't use the Vudu app, use the link and it works.

So odd how someone can be so convinced of stories in a book to be true...just because someone is like "trust me bro" it's in the Bible.

Movie was decent but the story is pretty meh.
In a rare turn of events...someone actually believes the movie was better than the book.

Gibson talked about producing the sequel (where Jesus went after he died) but too bad it didn't come to fruition.
He talked about making it but felt people would not understand the vast depth of what he would have to produce. Spiritual realm. A lot of false preachers would be up in arms over it. I believe it has been funded for filming. Not sure one movie would do it justice. He should have made it into a tv series.

This is the best clip of him summarizing what he has planned (60 secs):
