Probably unpopular opinion, but I liked Divinity better than BG3. I was not a fan of the long/short rest system in BG3.

Loved DoS2 on the ps4/ps5. Bought it digital on the Switch, and although playable, the screen is just too small to see items on the ground. May buy this a third time just to have it on my steam deck and pc if I decide to play it again after Baldur's Gate 3.

I wish this game would come out on Android. I definitely prefer Apple's grabbing AAA games on IOS compared to Google's Stadia in which they abandoned it anyways.

Amazing game. Hopefully the baldurs gate hype promotes it.

This is a great deal!

The best thing on both of these (dare I say it) better than BG3 is definitely the couch co-op display. You share the screen if in same vicinity and only splits if separated a distance.

DOS2 is fantastic. It is a great game if you have finished BG3 and want some more.

Question for those who have played both in this bundle, are they directly tied to one another or can away with just getting DOS2 and not really miss out on much of the story. Read amazing things about DOS2 especially, so considered getting that one on sale for about $13

I know you asked for those who've played both, but my experience (of just playing DoS2) is that I haven't missed anything for not playing the first.

I just picked up BG3 recently and have put 10 hours into it. I prefer DOS2's combat more. AP give you more variety per turn and the D20 rolls on combat are kind of ridiculous in early BG3 where you can have several turns of misses.

BG3 is a step up in just about every other category though, and I understand how the DnD combat is more welcoming to new players.

I picked up DOS2 during the summer and found it fairly accessible. Afaik, the game is pretty standalone like BG3; there are some references to the other games, but no required homework to enjoy the game on its own merit.

I have a really hard time understanding how BG3 got so popular while DOS2 didn't get anywhere near that level of acclaim. BG3 was great, but it doesn't seem like a masterpiece compared to other Larian games or even other games in the genre.

I completed both games multiple times. You don't miss too much by skipping the 1st, but there are some story tie-ins in the first that are part of the 2nd. However, they aren't critical to know and DOS2 is wholly enjoyable on its own.

The cross platform save ability with a Switch made me jump on this deal.
