How's the weather in June? I have been eyeing August - September prices and they are almost double.

Went June 2019 and it was perfect, dress for the cold but once your hiking the layers dissipate. Expect snow, didn't use anything other than hiking boots and poles but crampons would have made certain hikes a bit easier. Highly recommend!

Some of the trails might still be closed in June due to snowpack.

So is June/July a good time to travel to Banff to see some snow? I'm planning on a drive from SoCal to Yellowstone and then Banff in the next year or so.

Got married there June 8, 2018. Moraine Lake thawed completely the week before. Afternoons were warm, almost hot, so layers are the name of the game.

There still snow around too, went up towards Jasper and some side road to a picnic area still had 10' of snow across it from an avalanche.

Went this past June. Was 75-80 every day, but sunny and snow on the peaks still. It was amazing.

It's in Calgary. You drive 90 mins or so from there to Banff. Beautiful drive btw.

def my next major trip

Fly into Vegas -- rent car and drive north

Hit up Zion National, Arches National, Glacier National, then Banff then Jasper National

2 weeks to enjoy as much as possible, wish I could make it a months worth of hanging out but that lottery thing hasn't come through yet
