For anyone wondering, the quality of these are terrible compared to actual flannels from Orvis. I was able to wash mine 4-5 times before every seam baconed beyond salvage. My flannels from Orvis have kept their shape years later.
I don't know if you've bought any Orvis flannels recently, but I bought one in store and it went to hell about a year after. Luckily returning it to the store for a refund wasn't a huge hassle and they were happy to oblige, but considering it cost quite a bit more than this it was a pretty big disappointment. I think like a lot of others (looking at you LL Bean) quality overall has just declined.
I have four Orvis flannels from Costco from previous years and never had any issues. These are heavy flannels and have pockets so you can wear it like a shacket. I wash mine on cold/delicate and hang dry.

As others have said, these are heavy, so are too hot to wear in most climates. Even if you wear it instead of a jacket, you are going to roast inside any building.

Bought these, washed on cold, dried on low heat, and they shrunk.

Disappointed with the quality. I've got some good Orvis flannels from Costco, but these aren't them.

I have a few Orvis flannels bought in store in the past, they are holding up well, one of them has the side pockets.

They say they are 100% cotton, so of course they shrink some. We love the ones we have bought.

I'm wearing one of these as I type this. First off, they are not too hot, in my opinion, to wear in an office environment. I work in a medical setting which tends to trend to being cold and my role is quite sedentary (mental health therapist), so perhaps for other environments/levels of activity it might be too warm, but that is not my experience, at all.

The one I'm wearing, which I bought about 2 months ago, is 60% cotton, 40% polyester. I've only washed it a couple of time, but so far it is holding up well.

i've been eyeing the one pictured because i like the colors and i've seen it many times as an costco employee. i checked today at the local store and they dropped to $9 but they only had them in medium which is my size. i think they were about $20 before. check your local store first before ordering online.

i'd say none of the name brands are the quality you would find at other retail stores. i don't know orvis but i see the banana republic stuff at costco and it's only br in name only because i'd say they're below old navy quality (which i like btw). still, if it's decent quality and it's a very good price, it's a deal.

I purchased the same brand, same size, and they didn't drink as dramatically. Different strokes for different folks.
