Looks like they make a battery adapter so if you have Porter Cable or Black and Decker 20V batteries already, you can use them with Worx 20V tools.

X-Adapter 1x Adapter Only Fits Worx 20v USA Version Cordless Tools Compatible with Porter Cable & Black+Decker 20v MAX (NOT Old 18v) Lithium Batteries - Adapter Only https://a.co/d/i83SS0s

I have not used this, I found it when debating on that chainsaw but not wanting to invest in a new battery/charger when all my tools are Porter Cable already.

I have the electric chainsaw. It's probably worth $40-50 news. Maybe $25.-30 as a refurb. It works, but the auto tension doesn't work all that well. Also, the oiling system is mediocre at best.. It doesn't hold much oil and you're constantly having to stop to add more.

I bought one and liked it so much I bought a backup. I haven't had any issues with the auto tensioner or the oil.

I'm gonna call BS. These have a tiny lubricant tank compared to similar chainsaws. The tension starts off fine but gets jacked up as you make cuts due to the bar and chain system not being shielded well from debris. These are okay if you need something cheap and in a pinch, but they're not very good chainsaws. You would've been better off buying one good decent chainsaw instead of buying two of these.

I have taken down some large trees with one of these little chainsaws. It worked great.

How does the chainsaw compare to the Portland brand from HF?

I had this chainsaw. Feels like a toy.... very light. It's okay if you have minimal cutting and don't use it hard. Fyi the auto tensioner is crap. Oh and $39 is too much for it.

I bought this same chainsaw for $40 probably 6 years ago to cut a large branch that some kid pulled down in my yard (hazard of having a school bus stop outside your house) and it's served me well. It's a corded chainsaw for $40. I'm not sure what you expected but in my experience this saw has been worth every penny and then some.

Paid $25 for mine about six years ago. I definitely got my moneys worth as well before it burned up. I own a lot of corded chainsaws and the Worx just felt like a toy compared to my other chainsaws of similar size and cost. $40 seems high when I've gotten Homelite refurbs for $18-$25 which in my opinion have better build quality. Fyi the refurbs looked and worked like new.

My previous experience with other Worx products suggest that I should not be buying anything from them again.
