Price is good, but the reviews are concerning.
The drain bucket is a joke holds like maybe 8 ounces you have to empty it several times a day. Ok well let's use the drain hose NOPE
does not have standard garden hose connection you have to use the supplied flimsy short hose provided that won't reach a drain and won't last it's thin and flimsy.
Cons: can't calibrate it, onboard tank is very small, drain hose is very flimsy and you will need to support it all the way through, otherwise that bit of water will cause it to dip.
Exhaust fan blows out the air at a very weird angle. During power outage. The unit won't turn itself back on when power comes back. So if you're using any type of controller for it. It won't work.
It works. Needs a lot of improvements. Not worth the price.

those cons arent really all that bad. my bigger concern would be that they are essentially a no name flash in the pan amazon company that has only had this product or any other dehumidifier around for 270 days... wouldnt be surprised if they discontinue this product before they start failing after a year or so.

So it sounds like I shouldn't buy this product since it's newer on the market?
I bought one of these and it came in today. Set it up a few hours ago. I have other Govee items (sensors) so I'm a bit reluctant on an actual appliance.
It's going to be for a bedroom (400sqft) and my old unit was really quite oversized. This sips power by comparison and is much quieter, but haven't run it long enough to judge actual performance.
The bucket is small, and it has a bizarre cover that I modify if I keep it. That said my old one that held a gallon only needed emptying once every 5-7 days so I'm not terribly concerned. That said if you are using this in a big room you may want to go for a bigger unit.
With Amazon I have a month to test this. I very much want it to work well.

i cant suggest what to do but ill say that im in the market for a dehumidifier and im passing on this deal. going to wait for a more trusted brand.
Title is misspelled. It's Govee and they've been around for quite some time and make good products with good apps.
This dehumidifier is a new item for them.

I know the govee brand. I don't trust the govee brand beyond small random items. Certainly not $100-200 small appliance trust.
I bought the big brother to this one about 4 months ago (2 gallon tank, I believe). It's been working like a champ and has done a great job so far. No issues here.
