1. My current setup is Sony TV connected straight to Klipsch the fives. It works very well. Will this add something more to it?
2. Another thing I use those Klipsch the fives currently is for playing music from Mac/ phone via bluetooth. Again will this Yamaha add something to that experience?
3. Will this Yamaha enable some other use case that I am not currently using.
Thanks in advance.

These are a very, I'm not sure what the word is, basic sounding, lack of depth, flat midrange? Like they aren't terrible by any means. They sound better than the average cheap receiver, it's just for $450, for new this is probably the best integrated amp deal you're going to get. However you can buy a used Rotel integrated around this price which is considerably better, it's just used, older, not new, so it's a personal call it's just for Hi-Fi, the amplifier might disappoint some of you. I had one for a month or so and ultimately returned it. It may also pair better with a little bit darker speaker.

I have the same model running off a SMSL DAC powering a pair of bookshelf Martin Logans and a pair of Elacs. The build quality is high, with a real potentiometer volume knob, and even the plastic tone adjustment knobs move with a quality feel.
It has been reliable for years, and has much more power than I utilize currently.

I only use this on pure direct mode, and feel it does a great job letting the speakers reveal themselves.

What you see is what you get with yamaha: a great unit with no surprises. Most of my other equipment is Marantz, Integra, or Monolith, this feels just as solid and reliable as any of them-if not more because of its exclusion of gimmicks.

True, unless you really need the extra wattage. Other than the actual power output, they're identical, as far as I can tell. Where are you seeing one for under $300 that's not used, though?
