Go to Notebookcheck (the only website I use) and compare it to other processors that you may know. That will determine the speed of the processor.
The G99 per Notebookcheck..."The Mediatek Helio G99 is a mainstream ARM SoC for smartphones (mainly Android based) that was introduced in 2022. It is manufactured in a 6 nm FinFET process and is equipped with 2x big ARM Cortex-A76 cores with up to 2.2 GHz and 6x small and power efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores (max. 2 GHz) in two clusters (bigLITTLE). The chip integrates an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 (two cores). Compared to the older Helio G96, the G99 is manufactured in the more recent 6nm process and clocks higher."
The G99 was developed in 2022 as a low end CPU but it was the best of the low end... some say it is a mid grade CPU. Point is... it is fast enough for everything.
I have this tabelt, "iplay 50 mini pro" by "alldocube" and it runs amazing. Super clean Android OS. It is a popular tablet on XDA and they have already figured out how to root and install third party ROMS. So besides having a decent CPU/GPU it sports 8GB or RAM and 256GB hard drive and a FHD screen! It is also super light due to the size. For $140... no other tablet comes close, IMHO.
So I have multiple tablets in my home. From a HP X2 11 Chromebook Tablet to a Tab S9 and a Tab S8+ and a Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 and this iplay 50 mini pro. I love all these tablets... but the best value was the P11 Pro Gen 2 (scored it for $215 last year with 4GB of RAM and 128GB hard drive... this tablet now sells for $319) and the iplay 50 mini pro.
And I just gave away my Media Pad M5 by Huawei.
Iplay 50 mini Pro - PROS
CPU, screen, memory size, hard drive size, micro SD slot, Sim slot, can used as a desktop (USB C to HDMI out), 3.5mm jack.
CONS:
one mediocre speaker, no wide vine L1 support (I still find the screen good with netflix), the screen is not super high end but still high end enough (the screen on my old Media Pad M5 was slightly better... I am nit picking), don't expect any android security updates (there have been three updates but all hardware related).
So far everything has worked flawlessly... I can not say that about my Tab S9.

Their OS doesn't let you install what you need, and their App Store is very limited. A stupid Amazon monopoly!
