- No, these do not count towards your spend requirements for a premier membership.
- No, these do not earn you any Staples rewards.

- Yes, you can split payment between multiple cards (if your cashier permits it) YMMV

FYI safeway is now blocking "big charges" from these cards, even if you use it to by grocery.

I had the same problem at Walmart.

I have had no problem using these Visa cards at Costco however

is your costco purchase "big"?

The limit is not imposed by safeway, but by the Metabank.

Since Costco doesn't sell VISA gift card, I wouldn't be surprised that Metabank doesn't block Costoco.

Last week I used one of these $200 Visa gift cards at Costco to buy a $200 Costco cash card. I use the Costco cash card when I buy their gasoline, because the pump won't accept the Visa GC. I have bought many Costco cash cards this way in the past.

Thanks op. Picked up a few.

Had a cc bonus that I had to reach soon and this did the trick!

Has any one run into the issue of buying a tampered Visa gift card (at Staples)? This seems to happen notoriously on Apple gift cards. I'm hesitant to buy physical gift cards now but I do have the Chase Ink cc that I need to spend out to get the SUB.

Hmmm, I have an alert set up for "visa gift card" and never got notice of this. Glad I stumbled across it as my new insurance co just told me they will add 3% if I pay via CC. I was counting on that to meet my spend requirement for the C1 Spark bonus. Now I can just use this option.

The store near me must not have a lot of people using this option for CC minimum spending requirements, because some of the cards that I grabbed -without looking at this specifically- had $6.95 service fee with 11/2030 expiration date as opposed to some with $7.95 fee and 11/2031 date.

Same for me. Its kind of mixed, The new yellow card vs the old silver card or some are new with 2032 expiration date.

The standard 1.5%, I believe. It has 5% for Lyft rides. I applied for Business Unlimited, and after I realized that Business Cash gives 5% at office stores, my wife applied for that one. Looking back, I should have picked that one, too. It's my fault... I just clicked on the link in SD post and didn't look at other cards with the same $900 promo... Oh well.

Hmmm, so I could still apply for the Business Cash card? I don't think I have one of those yet. It would be a test of just how many cards Chase will give one business/person.

I've seen people reporting having multiple Chase Ink Business cards... it's worth a try. The worst that could happen is they'll deny you Smilie
I'm even contemplating about applying for Ink Business Cash myself -under my name this time and not as my previous company- while the promo is still alive.
